Tea is served in our main indoor tea rooms at your own table which is surrounded by lovely items from Britain and a lovely garden setting, with the sound of clinking bone china cups and saucers; the fragrance of freshly baked hot scones; the aroma of fresh roses and the soft dulcet tones of ‘Tea Time’ music - close your eyes - and you will think you’re in another time and place far, far away from the noise and hustle and bustle of modern day living. All this and more, plus the pleasure of having your tea served to you on the finest Royal Crown Derby and Royal Doulton Bone China.

A Big Thank You

Rose Tree Cottage hosted a special Downton Abbey Celebration Tea on the 14th September 2019 to mark the US release date (20th September 2019) of the new 2019 Downton Abbey Movie.

And, what fun it was! Thank you, Marlise and Elyse of The Anglophile Channel who, along with Andrew and Carolyn Morton, who made this an EXTRA SPECIAL 'Special Event Tea'! Thanks to the sale of books signed and donated by Andrew Morton as well as the prizes provided by Allied Global Marketing, over $1000 was raised for Bloom Where Planted ... every penny going to much needed ongoing projects at our school in Kenya from where Mary Fry has just returned from a visit.

Many thanks, too, to all of our wonderful patrons who dressed to the nines and were truly ready to enjoy (and most certainly did) our 'Downton' party!
